About EduCup

As communities come together to support each other through this challenging time, sports and sports leagues have a critical and unique role to play helping parents feel secure and keeping students engaged with their studies. EduCup harnesses the spirit of competition by challenging students to use one (or more!) of the eight digital courses co-created by EVERFI, professional sports leagues, and partners to showcase their knowledge through a series of related social media challenges.

These courses cover a variety of topics including STEM, character development, math and reading, community engagement, and more! Competitions will be based on the student’s region; all regions will include teams from each league. Students have the opportunity to win a $2,500 college scholarship or another prize by participating

Social Challenge of the Day

May 29, 2020
Major League Baseball - Time for our Summer Slugger students to show what they've learned! For today's #EduCupChallenge, answer this math problem: The distance between third base and home plate is 90 feet. How many times would you have to run to home plate to run 1 mile total?

“We wanted to find a way to bring students together and let sports do what they do best - unite communities. With all the unprecedented challenges students are facing today, EduCup allows students to engage in their passion for sports, while learning new skills. This is a first of its kind education partnership between sports leagues and we can't wait to get started!”
